Comments: Sgt. Leon Lashley----good job. Thank you for seeing beyond race. You can be my friend, fellow worker, brother or uncle anytime. No one should be calling you any derogatory names for voicing your opinion and supporting your fellow officer. During my 32 plus years in law enforcement, I would have felt very lucky to have a partner like Leon Lashley. Thank you.

Comments: As a retired PO with 32 yrs. service I can tell you that what Gates did was par for the course. Rather than cooperate and end the incident quickly and as amicably as possible, he threw the race card. I would suggest that Sgt. Crowley DEMAND an investigation and if warranted, reinstate the original charge and possibly add Resisting Arrest. Obama and Gates want this to go away. Obama was out of line and he knows it. Behind all his platitudes, he is, after all, a community organizer. Community organizers live for this type of incident, wether justified or not.

Comments: I would just like to offer my support to Sgt. Crowley and the other officers of the Cambridge P.D. over the recent events. Having been an officer for almost 30 years I have had numerous encounters just like the one Sgt. Crowley was involved in. Keep up the good fight and don't let this get you down or divert your attention to the job. Be safe.

Comments: I just want to thank your staff for immediately standing behind Sergeant Crowley. It is abundently clear Sgt. Crowley was simply doing his job. It was reckless of our Commander in Chief to make such a stupid statement on behalf of Mr. Gates in the first place. Please pass on to Sgt. Crowley that his brothers and sisters in blue here in Fresno firmly stand behind him. As always stay safe, Sergeant Clayton Smith Fresno Police Department Southwest District; Watch 1

Comments: I am in support of Sgt Crowley and like demand an apology from President O'Bama for his inappropriate remarks concerning the recent incident. YOur unwavering support of Sgt Crowley is an inspiration and tells me that truth and proper procedures will ALWAYS triumph. Police officers put their lives on the line every day. For the president to make such foolish remarks does damage to law enforcement all across the nation. God Bless

Comments: Please share this with the Cambridge Officers Union. Two Riverside Ca. officers (Phil Trust & Dennis Doty) I once supervised were murdered in the early 80's by a PARAPLEGIC when they came to pick him up in his home (bedroom)for missing a court appearance. So much for the absolutely ignorant comment by Obama about handcuffing a middle-aged person that occasionally uses a cane! Perhaps our President and your Gov. would like to explain that attitude to the parents, wives and children of Dennis and Phil.

Comments: Sgt Crowley, officers across the nation stand with you. You did the right thing here. Please fight against this injustice - use the legal system to bring it to light; get those tapes released, bring pressure to investigate the decision not to charge Gates (was there undue influence by your gov and/or mayor; intervention by Harvard; or just plain racial politics?

Comments: I truely support Officer James Crowley. I some states it IS illegal to break into your own home. The president IS the STUPID ONE. If he wasn't he would not be trying to destroy everything in this country. He is and always has been a racist. Not to mention an Illegal alien whom was not born in Hawaii but Indonesia. and went to college on a foriegn student loan. Hooray for Cops that do their job
